This is a digital postcard sent from TeamHonk during their travels with Comic Relief in Ghana celebrating #goodwork.
My postcard came with this message from Annie:
“Here is Davina about to film in a school on the edge of a slum. This little chap was very taken by her as you can see! To get to the school we had to walk through a part of the slum which was really so far removed from anything we have ever experienced before. It’s hard to believe just how crowded the area is from this shot x”
I cannot imagine how it feels to be there in Accra, Ghana – the heat, the slums, the poverty, the hardship…. and the HOPE. I am so proud of my friends who are out there showing us just how important Comic Relief and Red Nose Day are, and how the next 25 years will be just as important as the last.
For the past 25 years the money raised through Red Nose Day has been changing the lives of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa. Let’s Keep Up the Good Work. Find out how at rednoseday.com
These pictures are amazing aren’t they! It’s so wonderful to see what is going on out there, and it means so much more when there is someone you know involved!
Great post card!
That’s a fab postcard – what an amazing week.
lovely postcard teamhonk are doign a great job sharing these with everyone 🙂
Another great image – much respect for all of Team Honk and the Good work done in Ghana.
The hope… the hope hope hope. that is over whelming memory I have.
And this little boy was gorgeous. He wouldnt leave Davina alone. Until we arrived and he spotted my camera and wouldnt leave me alone. Then Suzy from Comic Relief, with zips on her bag that he could fiddle with.
He is going to be a heart breaker!
Davina was a child magnet, they loved her. Thanks for posting, there was so much that was positive and so much activity and as you say, HOPE for the future.
Thank you ever so much Helen – you are a brilliant friend and blogger x
Still hairy though 😉
