By the Bug.
I’ve been tasked with practicing my writing recently. It’s not my favourite thing, but we’ve been waiting for it to ‘click’ for a while now, and so far it hasn’t. I have a summer birthday, which puts me at at disadvantage to the rest of my class in keeping up, so every now and then something becomes the focus and I get to work on it really hard. Oh joy.
If you’re in a similar position, may I suggest that you try to keep it short, sweet and frequent. Here are a couple of things you could try:
Writing Practice
1. Writing thank you notes – and addressing the envelope:
2. Adding to the shopping list:
So that’s what?
And again, what?
3. Taking a quiz – how else would you spell poetry? Makes perferct sense to me 🙂
I’m getting there!
Now, if you have your own post to link this week, grab the badge code from the sidebar, and click the link below to enter your post – I can’t wait to see what you have! It’s not obligatory, but if you include a link back here in your own post, I’ll return the favour with a tweet-out. If you’re new here you can check out the Wot So Funee? main page for more info.
This is great!!! Spelling poetry made sense to me. Haha Love your “wots so funee” Tuesdays. Makes me smile. Keep on learning you are doing great!!!!
Bless you!! This is great and that is how you should spell powithry in my opinion.
I love seeing regional accents in spellings too – gabby is a proper Geordie – tired would be ‘tiyad’.
Keep up the good work! Xx
Tiyad is brilliant!
Very good! The clearest one of course is “ice cream” on the shopping list 🙂
Ah yes, well that would be me, and it’s very important!
Parmesan and Cheerios – clear as day to me, tell mummy to get better glasses 😉
Heheh
Ha ha I love it Bug – Kitty is the same – I’ll have to scan in some of hers and join in! x
Ah yes please do 🙂
easy parmesan and cheerios of course!
i must do this for some of Burton’s spelling although he wants to know how to write it correctly and wont just do free hand much as he is too much of a perfectionist x x
I am looking forward to Harry learning to write! I must say I do also agree with The Bug’s spelling of poetry though.
Bless him!
Perfect way to practice, must encourage E to do little things like this a bit more – he’s 9 and wouldn’t say the writing is that much better so translating the spellings is easy peasy 😉 xx
Wonderful!
I still have trouble spelling parmesan (my computer just changed it for me there!)
